The year 2020 is closing much like it began… market wise. Stocks are in a bull market reaching fresh all time highs. Quite remarkable considering what happened in the middle and what’s currently still going on. Making a prediction this time last year that markets would be continuing to truck higher and higher may have been a pretty fair guess to make but- considering the worst global pandemic in over 100 years and the shortest bear market in history, here we are- achieving new all time highs. 

There are many years that pass that investors forget, but I’m sure that 2020 won’t be one of them. Considering all that’s gone on. Not only were we able to weather through the storm but many client accounts performed exceptionally well!

As investors, we must always remember to keep our long term goals in mind. We have to phase out the “noise” which surrounds us and continue to work, save and invest to reach our short, medium and long term goals. Investment guru Warren Buffet once said, “I know what markets are going to do over a long period of time: They’re going to go up. But in terms of what’s going to happen in a day or a week or a month or a year even, I’ve never felt that I knew it and I’ve never felt that was important.”
